Early Sunday morning, 12 December, Google suspended the original Michigan Terminal System Archive site for “Terms of Service” violations. Google has provided no additional information about the suspension. I am not aware of any violations and have asked Google to provide more information and/or re-enable the site. An appeal form was filed on Sunday and a form response said “Thank you for requesting an appeal. We will examine the site.” It seems likely that the site was suspended by an automated process. We may not have succeeded in reaching a live person at Google.
If the Google site cannot be re-enabled soon, we will need to make a decision about moving the MTS Archive to a different hosting service.
